Freya Palmer

Being There: Humans and Robots in Public Spaces Project Manager.

Based at the University of Exeter, Freya works closely with the project's partner institutions - University of Bath, Bristol Robotics Lab, University of Cambridge (team formerly at QMUL), University of Exeter, University of Oxford's Computer Science Department and Oxford Internet Institute, and the Watershed (Bristol).

Freya has had a love of all things robot since a small age, and a long-standing fascination with all aspects of design - particularly our relationship with technology.

Before joining the Being There team, Freya worked at the University of Bristol (Bristol Interaction & Graphics (BIG) group) and the University of Bath (Human-Computer Interaction research group) - both as a researcher and in a project management capacity.
There, she collaborated on several large cross-disciplinary and multi-institutional projects, and worked closely with a number of partner academic, Arts/third sector (such as Knowle West Media Centre, and the Watershed, Bristol), and industrial institutions (including HP Labs, and Vodafone R&D).
